I’m new to this forum. I just started a search for a nice used TL. Based on how much I would like to spend, I think I need to focus on a third generation. Options I would like are heated seats, navigation, backup camera and the ability to play music from an iPhone. The heated seats and nav seem to be available but I’m not sure what I need to look at to get the backup camera or ability to play music from an iPhone. Any advice as far as option packages or year needed to get these functions would be appreciated.

backup camera and AUX added in 2007 & 2008 models for the 3G. They also have many upgrades such as a better transmission (much lower failure rates).

If that is a bit out of your price range, you can add backup cam and ipod/aux input for under $500.

When you say AUX added in 2007 & 2008 are you talking about the small headphone type of jack to play audio or something more sophisticated?

 

yup, you can buy blackberry gateway and you get BT-A streaming.

If your patient you can probally find an
s model 4 that price. You will have to do a mod 4 the iphone I'm installinga Pioneer avh 4100 . With all the addons Ill probably spend $650 but it will do everything but mix the drink and drink it 4 u

 

just got an 07 base 75k miles under 10k. best purchase of my life. ive fallen in love with the TL. gonna do progress thread soon. Def recommend

Yep, I installed it in my 04 and highly recommend it. Plug directly to USB or AUX, or stream via Bluetooth...

Thanks for the info. I wasn't able to view your picture at work for some reason. I will check again at home. Does the iSimple work better if you have the factory Nav?
