Hi Everybody!

Tomorrow's the big day - I'll be picking up my 05 TL 5AT w/NAVI ABP/Camel after many weeks of waiting and a few days of visiting my car on the lot. The dealership is offering me Lojack installed for $595 - $100 off the national retail. Is this a good deal? Is Lojack a good idea for the TL? I've never had it.

I was offered around $500 something, I forgot. I didn't get it because most of the time the car is in the garage plus I get a two way pager alarm for the times that it's not in a garage.

 

I paid $695. It's worth the insurance discount plus you stand a good chance of getting your car back if it's stolen. No one pays attention to siren type alarms.

 

Why do you want your car back if it gets stolen..possibly, stripped to the metal?

I got the basic LoJack system in my 04 TL for $395 because my dealer sold so many they had some kind of dealer specific $100 off coupon. People had asked previously if this included the early warning system, but the docs I got with the TL were identical to my 98 Civic I had LJ on so I think it doesnt. Its just the basic system.

 

I get Kojack as part of my standard cable channels - who loves ya, baby?

 

There is no LoJack in South Carolina. They currently have coverage in the Charlotte area, so if you live in Rock Hill you might consider it.

I install a GPS tracking system that notifies me if my car is broken into or being stolen.
