Loaner car

I dropped off the TL at the dealership today to have the new transmission installed. They gave me a brand new TSX as a loaner car. While the TSX is a VERY nice car, it just doesnt feel as substantial as the TL does. Maybe because its smaller, or has a 4 cylinder. I don't know. It leaves me wondering how the new TL's drive. Anyone else feel this way?

My grandma actually bought a new tsx, and when my TL and her TSX were parked next to eachother, the TL looks tiny!! Much smaller inside though, not sure about the outside dimensions but it looks much larger.

The drive of the new TSX, to me feels like its missing the smoothness and 'luxury feel' of the TL. The new TL is in a whole new league in my opinion, feels very substantial compared to the 04-08 models. Just my opinion, Im sure lots of people will prefer their 3G TL's!

Had a 2011 Loaner yesterday

I had my 2008 TL serviced at the dealer, and they gave me a 2011 TL to drive. Personally I hate the body style. If I could get pass that I still like mine better.

My brief take on the car was the 2011 TL steering was smoother if you like that kind of steering more like a luxury sedan. As for my 2008 it has more of a sporty feel. The seat goes back further in the 2011, and more comfortable with a better grade of leather. The transmission shifts smoother than mine of course, and the gas maileage was worse according to the trip computer. Overall it’s a nice car, but the body style is a deal breaker for me.

My mom got a TSX as a loaner while her mdx was being repaired. I thought the TSX looked smaller than the TL. To me the TL's looks lower and wider which gives the TL more of a sporty, and bigger appearance. Inside the car, I felt like the TSX had very little room. After driving it for a little bit, I couldn't wait to get back in my TL. The drive of the TSX just can't compare to the TL's.

i actually got a 2011 TL as a loaner car when i dropped off my 05 TL because they had to replace my sidemarker and inspect my rear brakes...

i dunno if it's just me, but the steering wheel is lighter compare to my 05, i actually drove it like when i still had the MR2.....it made changing lanes and cornering so easy...and i also feel the car is lighter than my 05....after getting back with my 05, i thought maybe the power steering fluid was low and it was kinda low (between min and max)...so i topped it off to max but i still feel the steering heavier compare to the 11 TL......maybe something wrong with my car or this is the way it was suppose to be.....???

They drive nice! Go to the dealership and take a test drive-they don't charge for it....

i've had the opportunity to have both the 2G TSX and 4G TL loaners.

the TSX...the 4 cylinder engine...peppy though not enough power since i'm used to my TL.

the 4GTL, nice car, smooth, light steering response, plenty of get up and go. interior feels roomie compared to the 3G, though could have been the light colored interior. however, like others...the look is the deal breaker for me. i have yet to test out the SHAWD version of the TL. if its like the MDX then damn, the TL would handle quite nicely.

i still love my 3G TL though. the sportiness and the look...and with a few mods, gives the car a whole new feel to it. maybe one day...if acura ever gets their design right...i'll "upgrade".

The steering on the 3G tl is heavy, which is what I like. Feels very sporty to me. The tsx is opposite. Be ashame if the new tl steering isn't as heavy.

We've got a 2010 TL SH AWD and a 07 TL-S. Had a TSX as a loaner once.

Both TLs feel like the same size on the inside to me. Steering is definitely stiffer on the 3G and much easier to steer the 4G. I like the feel of the 3G better. The steering wheel is alot thicker on the 4G, never liked that about it.

Its been a since I've been in a TSX (2G), but it feels like a smaller version of the 4G TL on the inside.

was able to drive the newer TSX (i dont think i twas V6) and the 4G TL at a small test drive event. I liked the TL...it has some good power. TSX wasnt so bad either.

Also drove an MDX..i think that's a pretty badass car too. I have a lot of respect for the SH-AWD system.

So far Ive driven every loaner car except the MDX and ZDX. Even after having them for a day or two I still enjoy driving my car.

I got to drive the TSX-s at one point as a loaner. I agree, it still feels small, but with that V-6 it does have great pick-up for the lighter car.

The new TL is butt-f-ing ugly but I think they drive really nice. I have had two 2011 TL loaners. One was the SH-AWD model. I was able to put about 300 miles on one of them. SWEET ride. Then I got out of it.

Good to see Jones hooking you up with that new transmission.

Whenever I get a loaner from the dealer I always request to try different car than last time out, but never the new TL because I tried it once and did not like it. I've also tried the TSX, RDX, MDX. I prefer the RDX to be honest.

Next I will ask to try the NSX
