Little creation that I came up with

This is just a prototype and not the correct font that I want, but tell me what you think.

What about if it was smaller, a different color or like an ACURA "A". I did a white one in a ebony car and it looked pretty nice.

Ack,

See if you can do the same style lettering as on the trunk of the car. That would be much better.

I think the only way that this would look nice, and be able to work with the TL, is if it was the right font (not sure what font though) and if it was stiched in. Just my two cents.

If you can figure out a way to "brand" it, like the Type-S headrests, it would be nice.

Ya the actual font on the trunk or even the font you used for third brake light would look better.

I would imagine, though, this is NOT a reversible mod. The adhesive will seep in to the pores of the leather and leave you with logo ghosting once it's taken off.

I personally dont like it but if this is what you're going for make the letters smaller and closer together.

I think Acura symbol without the "ACURA" wording on the bottom would look best...

Check out this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=headrest

Something like these would be great, or just with an "A" for the non-type S guys!

I used wheel center cap vinyl stickers from grafixpressions.com. I figured it might stay there for a little while before peeling off on its own but they have lasted quite a while now.
Those stitched headrests are custom made---I believe the guy had a friend who was able to make them for him on a one-off basis. I would not mind stitched headrests, but have settled for the solution I have.

Exactly, those stitched ones are probably 50-75 and you have to ship him the headrests, when there are $5. These are reversible because its automotive vinyl and will peel off. I have a set on my car with an outline of "TL" in white (had ebony interior) and the only thing is that is started to peel after 2 years and left no marks. I will upload pics of the ones I have now.

^I think that would be sick in black with the tl font on trunk. Same size and only outline like that.

tbh, I like it plain, unless it is the Type S stitching, that one looks sexy.

I had some spare time so i decided to do a little photoshop to see some variations. Seems like a good way to add some detail to the interior without breaking the wallet.

One concern is the longevity, but if they aren't too expensive, no bigs.

Mine have lasted about a year. I did have to replace one which started to pull up.
The secret is to clean the area well and hitting it with some alcohol before applying.
BTW, when the one that I mentioned came up and I took it off, there was a faint outline on the headrest. A good cleaning took it all off.

I just did this one. Mind you I threw on the "ACURA" fast so it will come out crisper if you want it to. It can be put on with the "ACURA" or just the "A".

That particular "TL" has been on my car for almost four years now. Other have came off because the animals that have sat there like to touch. It will stay in place without any modification or "marks" when removed for 1-2 years no problem. Hey, for $7 shipped 2 years is a great investment.

The Type-S headrest looks the best IMO

Guys... I have done this for many car enthusiasts, most headrest covers can be removed with the proper tools.....

IN MY OPINION,

matching the headrest leather color with the thread would make it look extremely classy, No need to go some other color, the raised pattern of the stitch would be just enough for it to look subtle & almost stock.

IMO I think UNC96XJs concept for "TL" looks really good. But i think ACKTLs would look good if the A symbol and acura were all one piece when you apply so you dont have worry about getting the letters all properly aligned

It all sicks on one piece, but I took the off the "ACURA" individually to save myself the stick paper and such.
