I just bought an 05 tl and i cant figure out how to link the car to my garage door opener. the steps i did was i pressed the outer buttons until the light flashed fast then i held the first button while pressing the open button on the garage clicker. i held both buttons on the car and clicker simotaniously (spelling) until it flashed fast then i released it.

Start fresh, reset your codes by holding the two outer buttons for about 20 seconds until the red light flashes.

Press the training button on your garage door opener.

Now press and hold the homelink button for 3-5 seconds.

Press and hold the homelink button again for 3-5 seconds and it should turn off the training feature on your garage door.

Press and hold the homelink button like the steps above for 1 or 2 more times and it should work.

Hope this helps =x or simply refer to "Training with a Rolling Code System" section.

Just to let everyone here know... I have confirmed with HomeLink that universal remote controls are known to not properly hook up with homelink
