License Plate Holders

Anyone have nice plate frames? I'm looking for something that will go well with Anthracite. I need to get the dealer's frames off my car.

Go to E-bay and search for "acura plate". There are a bunch of neat chrome frames that match Anthracite real well.

Or you can just go to your local auto store dealer and pick up plate covers. I got smoked covers on my plates, they look nice!

you don't need a frame at all to hold the plate on.

Thumbs up Carbon fiber ...

This is the one I bought. A little pricey though, but thought it would look sweet with NBP and the other carbon fiber. I saw somewhere that someone said they got a similar one from Pep Boys, but couldn't find it on their website.

Before I get the comments, yes, it a store for Z parts. It's a standard size so it fits all plates ....

Budman - Nice frame. I might have to get one now, too. Will have to see how it fits in on an Anthracite.

" Will have to see how it fits in on an Anthracite "

You should be satisfied, the frame blends well with the backround surrounding, it is an almost exact match in color & pattern.

Narnia,

Here I am . . . another TL Chick! I have an Anthracite/Ebony/5AT/Navi
on order, just like your car. I expect mine in about a month. The wait is
going to kill me.

Hey berlinrl - the wait is worth it. Mine is 2 months old now and I still have a stupid grin on my face every time I sit behind the wheel.

Why is it that the women are the ones getting Navi? I thought it was for men who never ask for directions

Nice color combos, btw. I'm avoiding putting on my plates for as long as possible, but can't go too much longer. Just need to get a frame and maybe a cover to go with it.

Moeronn, I wasn't going to get NAVI, since I was trying to be 'practical', but then
as I was scrolling though this forum, I began to reconsider.

Then my husband was all excited about getting the NAVI, even though (and I
repeat) this is my car.

He has a one year old RSX-S.

I'm so excited about this new car . . . I can hardly contain myself! This next
month is really going to drag.

I wasn't knocking you for getting the Navi. I would have liked to get it too, but I couldn't justify/afford the $3500 difference it would have made in price. I can buy a lot of maps for that much

Your wait will be worth it.

Rach-

Do you ever cheat on your husband? If so, I'll let you borrow my TL until yours arrives in exchange for some 'services'.

This is a PM so you can answer me honestly.

I think the NAV is worth every penny. I use it much more than I thought I would. It also add the voice functionality which I use everyday. Now I just need Sprint to release a decent Bluetooth cell phone.

Look around in the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart. I found it there by accident.

I've got the same frame. I've seen the cheeper ones at Wal-Mart and other stores. They are not as nice. They are made of plastic and the carbon fiber pattern looks ugly, the checkered pattern is way to big.

Check out my first quote in this thread. Looks to be real, can't verify it though. Still waiting on it to arrive. Just called and they said it was on back order until May 19th. Would have been nice for them to tell me that when I ordered it!

Interesting. They replied today to me email about the status:

"My apologies we sold out of carbon fiber license frames we have another shipment due in 5/19/04. Yours will ship out when this shipment comes in. Thank you for your patience Kurt"

So... not sure if they sold out of the ones they ordered to fill the back order and had to order more?

Narnia,

Still no carbon fiber license frame! It was suppose to ship on 5/19. Sent an email yesterday and they responded that the expected date was moved to 6/3/04 and will ship as soon as they receive them. Great customer service...not.

Did you get yours or any notification from them since you ordered? I assume not, huh?

Mine is stainless steel, painted with a carbon fiber pattern. Looks good IMO. I can take a pic if you'd like when I get home from work.

Weather tight frames.

Bought some awsome weather tight clear frames from WeatherTech auto accessories. Web site www.mats.com. They're not cheap but the quality is very high and they're virtually bullet proof. I live in the Seattle area where it rains alot and these things do not leak. Keeps the plates looking new. Come in several colors to go with all TL color combos. The hardware is first rate. You don't want cheap shit from Wal Mart on your cool new ride do you?! Check it out.
