They really do just pop out - although they are tight. Try removing it very easily/gentle with needle nose pliers....... some have used rubber gloves - and rubber bands wrapped around the bulb to help get it out. Keep trying you'll get it..

The tabs in the carpet liner part at least on my 06 have a screw center. You just unscrew the center and it all comes out after that.

For the license plate lights, i got teh White Color, super Led PIAA (12v-led). Looks really good.

Tail lights, im not sure, but i really would like to change them as well.

Guys my ISP Server crashed hard they said. And it won't be fixed for weeks. I am in the process of moving my site to another ISP due to poor customer service from this one. I will get back with ya when it is back online.

I tried doing this last night, I got the reverse lights to work but I didnt know how to put in/take out the license plate bulbs. Does it come out or do you have to work on it inside? Thanks in advance!

From what I can remember the license plate bulbs are easier to change from the inside.

Hey I wanted to put LED's on my 2004 TL. I've never done this before, so I just wanted to double check before I do anything.

So far if I am correct:

I need:

2 (921) LED bulbs for the back up lights
4 (2825) LED bulbs to cover the front map lights and rear dome light
5 (168) LED bulbs to cover the license plate, interior trunk light, and 1 bulb for each door in the front. Does that seem right? Also I tried buying from tec-toyz.com but for some reason their paypal site is down and has been down for a while. Can you recommend a good place to buy these bulbs?

Does anyone recommend changing the front and rear turn signals to LED? Is it alot of work?

never mind ... found someone mentioned taping the bulb and pull ... works great !!! i am thinking ... why not tape some tin foils or mirros in the socket so LED light gets reflected and create more brightness

I know this is really late, and I'm sure you have already figured it out, but you just gotta yank the bulb right out. I just did this mod this afternoon. I didn't want to break anything either but I was getting frustrated haha. Well worth the time.

Those black plastic clips are the worst. I wish they'd never use them!

Snapped a picture right quick. These are the 6 angled flank led's. I have to say, they are quite bright and quick white I'm a happy customer.

Best LEDs in my books for the license plate light.

Hey tehloxely, where did you buy those angled flank LEDs? and any idea if they are compatible with a 2007 tl? My car, if I have done my research correctly takes the 168 bulb.
