Question Let me ask a question.

So the VIN of my car is 22,270. I will see it and drive it today befor I pick it up probably early next week. It should be past the seat memory module, I don't care about the camel interior being a little more orangy than it is now and it will have less than 75 miles on it which means it hasn't been driven other than the transport. If there are any headliner issues they can fix that before I pick it up so my big question is....
Does it really matter that it has been sitting on a lot for a few months?? It still is new, nobody just wanted that color combo where it was. If it was sitting on a lot and it was being driven all over, I certainly wouldn't take it but it hasn't been. Any thoughts or concerns other than headliner and seat memory module that have been fixed with TSBs on the earlier vehicles? Doug

Do you know if there is a wait for your color combo for a "newer" VIN?

Not sure but

dealer had a hard time locating one for a trade. I almost had to change colors b/c of this. Apparently there were none coming in in the Tri-state area at least until June. I heard this from 2 dealers so I think ordering was not an option. My "deal" also ends the end of May so I need to take delivery before than. I really don't see an issue with it but some here have expressed other views. He gave me the HPTs for free also and people on every forum have been complaining about Bridgestones in general for a long time so it's not just here. I'll be getting 18s and tire anyway.

Red face

Sorry to make you so confused... Basically, as long as you're satisfied with that car, no matter what VINs range it is, it's the car for you. If you could test-drive before picking it up, it's even better. Plus, you have upgrade HPT with 18" instead of crap EL42s, this seems to be a good deal. (you may have to have another tires for our snowy winter though).

Since you like that combo and that's the earliest car you could find by your dealer, early VINs 04TL should not be an issue. (you quoted your dealer said this is "new" car, that's why we said it isn't, based on its VINs...) Also, if you have extra leverage, you "might" be able to pay less for it...

Thanks, I got your PM also. When I go to look at it this afternoon and drive it I'll know if there are any issues so the will have a few days to fix anything I find or am not satisfied with. I'm sure it will be fine. Doug
