Legal to smoke out amber diffuser in headlight in MO?
Here are the Montana Statutes regarding this... You can come to your own conclusions.
61-9-205 only specifies REAR reflectors as being mandatory on all vehicles operated in Montana, with the exception of a truck tractor... This implies you don't need a front reflector...
61-9-208 only specifies that Bus or truck 80" or more in width, requires a front/side reflector.
61-9-209 however, specifies that the front clearance lamps, and the front/side reflectors must emit/reflect an amber color.
To me, this says that for your TL, you don't explicitly need a front reflector on the front, however, if it is present, it must be amber.
That's why on my other car, the front signals are clear when off, and amber when lit... And the reflectors are white honeycombs with no reflective material. (ie, they look like white reflectors, but aren't reflectors).
Edit: Ooops, I thought you were talking about Montana... I'll leave this post in case any people from Montana are curious

Ok, here are the Missouri Statutes:
307.075, like the Montana statute, only specifies that every motor vehicle have 2 rear reflectors, that reflect red.
307.085 state that any motor vehicle may have front/side lamps that emit white or amber
I couldn't find any Missouri statutes regarding front reflectors...
