LED Resistor heat

Goodness, I installed resistors on each side in the trunk for led front and rear turn signals and wow I was surprised how warm/hot they get after a few moments of use.

Is that normal? Do you notice they got warm/hot?

Yes, they get hot!

Totally normal, and most people know they get hot but don't notice it because they usually have them hidden...

Anywho, go to this thread:

That is the purpose of the resistor. The resistor absorbs the extra current going through the wires and doing so it heats up. 100% completely normal and it's just how resistors work.

How hot can hey get? I mounted them were they touch the white insulation on the rear panels. I doubt hey will get hot enough to harm anything but has anyone had issues with them?

Shouldn't be any issues with them.
I would move them somewhere they are not touching anything but what they are mounted to, though.
