Is LED drl safe?
I have an 04 TL with halogen fog lamps on the side. I thought that if I upgrade with LED it will match better with the factory HID. I heard that leaving the LED for a long period of time can burn the housing, is this true? Also is the fog lamp on the 04 TL is a HB4(9006) for the replacement? What could be the worst case scenario if I leave the LED for a long period of time? Sorry for so many questions.

Hi,
LED are safe. You are not drawing more than halogens.
See this thread, it will answers all of your questions:

PS The only time you will burn your housing if you are installing a high wattage system with stock housing, example, HID fogs on stock fog housing. (And this still happens rarely)

I have LEDs in my fogs and they are on 24/7 because of my DRL module. They are very safe and run cool. MY battery hardly drains because of it. They're working strong. The size you need is 9006. Don't expect bright output at all. They are good just as fill-in and to color match.
