Leather Concerns?
Leather Concerns?
I know my concern is probably nothing to worry about, but I notice that the leather portion to the right of my rear passenger armrest is smooth, while the left side is a little rougher and wrinkled. I notice dissimilarities in other parts of the leather just like this one. I never really owned a leather car and was wondering if this issue is normal. I could not find anything under search. Isn't leather supposed to be dissimilar, so maybe it is nothing?
You'll find, over the months and years, that your leather seating surfaces will begin to show more and more "wrinkles" which is merely the leather breaking in. Think of it as a new baseball glove and then you condition the glove and begin using it. The more you use it, the more wrinkles that will develop.
Just keep it conditioned with Lexol or Pinnacle and you'll be just fine.

There will always be minor variations with leather - depends whether the cows were wrinkly or smooth
. I have a leather sectional which has some variation between different cushions, because of the individual hides.
Bentley imports their hides from Finland (or somewhere like that), because the farmers don't use barbed wire - fewer nicks on the skins!
