Leasing a TL, How much?
Leasing a TL, How much?
Hey guys. Im new here to the boards. Im in the market for leasing an 06 TL. What are you guys paying that have leased one of these, how much down? Also are there any good lease deals for the TL out now, or know of any coming soon?
Right now the deal I was offered was. 06 TL no NAV 6 spd. $2500 down 36month lease 12k mi. per year for $451mo.
However I wanted to make a few small additions to the car which were not figured into the price yet. This was over the phone as well. I work for a Jeep/Nissan Dealership and we also own an Acura dealership so I had my manager call who has a few connections. So im guessing $450 a month isnt bad then?
Price of the car was I believe 30,900.
I also just noticed on Acuras site they are offering a lease deal for $399 per month $2500 down 36month lease.
I am shopping around a few other brand cars as well. The deciding factor is how much I sell my Cobra for. Im leaning most towards the TL however if the price is right
Another questions is. Has anyone purchased the Aero kit with their car @ time of purchase? How much did it cost installed? A few people told me its a pretty simple install and I would be better off purchasing it seperately and installing it myself. Also like I said my company owns the Acura dealer as well so I should be able to get a good deal on parts as well.
Thanks guys
Dave

And that $2500 down equates to about $80 a month on a 3-yr. lease. So with zero down, that's the same as about $480/mo. Bump that to 15,000 miles a year and you're looking at another $60 a month or more, for a total of $540 or $550.
And don't forget tax, title and license, which in most states will run you over $2200.
Their good deal isn't such a good deal in my book.
What going on everbody?
I am in the same boat as Juiced46. I really don't want to trade in my 2004 Daytona Blue Nissan 350Z Touring 6-speed, but my and my fiance are expecting our first little one around March 2007. Obviously there is no room for a baby seat in the 350Z so I've decided to go with either an '06 Acura TL or TSX.
The 350Z was financed and I would be happy to not have to pay $530/month anymore (this is with putting down $10K).
I have never leased a car before. I'm hoping that $360/month for a 2006 Acura TL, black on black leather, with NAVI, AT is not far fetched on a 36 month / 15,000 mile lease. I would be OK with putting down $3K out the door with all taxes, fees, licenses, security deposit, etc...I got the $3K figure based on the payoff amount on my 350Z being $18K'ish and the Blue Book value being $21K'ish.
One of my old co-workers purchased a 2005 Audi A4 MT on a 36 month / 12,000 mile lease- and yes, although we are talking apples to oranges- the MSRP's are generally in the same ballpark. He was able to get it down to $320/month.
I was quoted a price over the phone saying if I wanted NAVI that's an extra $50/month on my payment, and if I wanted 15,000 miles instead of 12,000 that's another $20/month. Again, I'm not sure if they're trying to take advantage of me or not. The sales associate from Open Road Acura of Wayne (NJ) told me something around a TSX at 15,000 miles with NAVI would cost me around $480'ish and a TL with the same specs would cost me $515'ish. If that is a feasible number, that would suck.
I am also interested in the RDX but I'm sure that will be straight out MSRP for the first 6 months or so...
Please advise with any information, tips/tricks, the decimal "money" number (which I don't know what it means but August was something like 0.00275?) because if you forsee better deals in September, I can wait...the baby is not due until March, but I did want to "catch the wave" while they're trying to get rid of '06s to make room for the '07s. In addition, my credit is good, if that is of concern with the final dollar figure.
Thanks everybody!!

From what my manager was telling me, most Acuras lease deals are very high compared to other manufacturers even @ the same sticker price. I forget the term he used for as of why they are so high.
If you go on Acuras payment calculator for a lease for a 35,000 TL they want like $600 a month. I can put $2500 on a $40,000 BMW and pay under $500 a month.
I guess once you get down there its all how you wheel and deal with them. But from what he said for some reason Acura has always been high for a lease. Another example. I got quoted about $370 a month with $2500 down 15k a year on a fully loaded 07 Maxima which is about 35-36K. I got quoted $451 for the TL with $2500 down and the cars price was 30,900
From the quotes ive seen, I dont think you will be able to get a lease deal for 360mo with 3k down. But it would be nice!!
Goodluck. I have 1 more day left on my Ebay sale for my Cobra. If it sells im going shopping

IMO, asking other people what they pay for their lease is foolish. Not only are the lease terms going to differ from person to person but your money factor (interest rate) is partly based on your credit score.
Want to get the best lease deal possible? Settle on the specific TL that you want and email/fax/call any dealer within a set mile radius (for me, it was 150 miles). Have them work the same deal for the same car (apples to apples). Ask them for lease details: cap cost, residual, money factor, etc...
It's simple but most make it much harder than it needs to be.
