Lease vs Buy

Finance the car at a rip off rate here in Canada
at 6.1% when BMW/Mercedez/Audi has lower than 3%.
My GF is not letting me talk about or think about buying the TL till Sept heh. I am basically trying to get the best deal I can.. I'm asking 32-33k including TT&L. I'm not paying 35+ for a car already about to move over to the 2005s. I also told the person.. I want under 5% on APR.. that is too high anyways expecially with my Excellent credit.
Re leasing, if state sales tax in the 6% to 6.5% area, should be paying between $460 to $470 a mo. all in, incl all taxes, for a fully equipped TL w/navigation, 36 months, no money down whatsoever, no lease end payment either, via Honda Finance. Add the A pkg and will pay more on a proportionate basis.
Just keep in mind that leasing only makes sense if you don't put many miles on a car (usually <12k/year) and that leases are difficult to get out of early if you think that might be a problem for you in the future.

Leasing
I'm going to sign the lease papers today and pick up on Friday or thereabouts...
money factor .00215, residual ~17900.
MA 5% sales tax.
negotiated price 33,000, automatic with navigation, nothing else.
1780 - cash down.... tax, registration, security, first month, docs and other miscellaneous
490/mo. 42 month lease.
It's not an awesome deal. It's average cost to a little above average cost.

6-8 months ago I would have said "lease" (when I got my TL/auto/navi for $460/month+tax).
Now it's rocketed to $600+ due to lower residuals and higher interest rates...
So... your choice, but buying is better at the end of the model year.

Acura's make great lease candidates because of their strong residuals. Unless Acura does some sort of end-of-year lease campaign, you'd be better off waiting for the '05s. The residual will continue to decline as the 05 launch approaches making your payments higher. In the absence of a campaign, and assuming you can get a discount on an '05, the 05 could actually be a cheaper lease than the 04.
Just Got It Yesterday
Just signed the leasing papers and took delivery of car yesterday. Abyss Blue, camel interior with navi. Nothing down Sign and Drive deal. Residual is $17949.45, @533.00/mo including tax. 42 mo lease
I did a lease without question. There's no way I'm going to get stuck with a piece of metal that's worth half in three years. I did a 39 month lease for $410/month. I'm in the Philly suburbs.
