Forget the $500 deposit unless you buy the vehicle at the end of the lease, otherwise count it towards the disposition fee.

When determining if a lease is a good deal, forget about what the monthly payment is, you can figure that out yourself. What you must get before you sign any deal is:

1) Retail cost of car ($36,000 ?)
2) Your cost of car ($34,000 ?)
3) rate factor (money factor)
4) Residual (should be around 50%) could vary based on mileage chosen
5) Mileage included in lease
6) Your home tax rate

Get these figures and coming up with the monthly $$ is a click or two away

Could you get better than $499 for 48mos with $1,800 down ? Maybe, maybe not

Last week I got a 5AT, no Navi for No money down, 48 mos, $425/mo. All DMV, taxes, and doc fees were included, I gave the dealer $0. BUT and this is a big but. American Honda is no longer offering Balloon deals.
