Latest mod: Blue underdash lighting

I mounted and wired in a couple blue leds above each floor mats. wired them in with the parking lights. they came out great. just enough light to match the factory leds from the overhead console.

no resistors. they are just blue 12v leds with a red and black wire coming off them.

no such LED exists, the most a LED is rated for is usually 3 volts. if they already have leads on them, then you already have a resistor installed

I used to have single LEDs like that in my old Mercedes. Had them in the rear too. The resistors for those LEDs are soldered in-line. Pretty much built in and they run straight off any 12V source with really low draw and resistance. You can literally wire 10LEDs up like that off the same source if you wanted to.

In my TL I used LED strips in those same locations.....you should look into that, looks hott. Gives a great "mood" to the interior and the light is even and not too bright at all, out of the way. Got it wired to a switch to turn off on those long night trips.

The camera is amlifying the color and brightness a bit. It isn't that bright at all in real life. Everyone who gets in my car always compliments it. Still, it isn't for everybody.
