L.E.D. Day Time Running Lights

Any help is appreciated, I swapped my stock Day Time Running Lights (9005) with a set of L.E.D. bulbs (68 lights). Easy install, however, when they are both on, they don't fully light up, only about a quarter of them light up. If i dissconnect one, the other lights up fully, and vice versa. Can anyone help?

The day time running lights run at reduced voltage, if the 9005 led lights are made to run at 12 volts then they will not work correctly without some sort of harness. I think the places that sell the DRL leds also sell a harness, afaik just a relay that is triggered by the stock wire and provides full voltage from the battery. The harness might also have some sort of load resistor to stop any "light out" messages from coming up. I don't have LED drls but thats my guess.

You're correct. You need a harness.
