Question Keyhole "box" fell off!

On the front passenger side.. You know the small plastic "box" that's to the left of the door handle. Of course there's no keyhole except for the driver side door.

It must've been loose or something, because it was there before I got into the car, but 5 minutes later of driving, when I got out of the car, it was gone...

I certainly had that what the F look on my face... I was not even mad, but just puzzled as hell as how this could've happened. I don't recall anything ever banging into that part so to loosen it.

On the topic, now that the metal part is exposed, I noticed that there are two screw holes. However, only the top hole has a screw. Is this normal?

A HA! That's EXACTLY how mine looks now, except without the dent on the door (thank goodness). And it looks like there's only one screw...

Yep, gonna give the dealer a call... I have this good feeling I'll get it free...

Thank you stillhere153 for the pic..

There's a TSB for this. If you go to the dealer there's a good chance they'll cover it as warranty. If you go with a copy of the TSB, it's practically guaranteed.

it happened once to me and i took the piece and heated it up slightly and crushed it downward slightly so that when u snap the cover in place its really on there..... plus u dont just push down to snap it on u slide it into place from back to front theres a position notch for it as well.
