You think this is weird? About three years ago, when we first moved into a newly constructed home which had cable/satellite pre-run into the walls up to cable outlets in the wall. DirectTV was finally hooked up at my house, we only had to connect the wire from the receiver to the wall so we can finally watch some TV. When i pulled the wire towards me so i could screw it in, i hit myself in the head and noticed an image on TV come up. I then stuck the copper from the cat5 cable into my head again, and the TV had a DirectTV signal and was working; we were able to watch TV from my f'in head. Weird shit, can anyone explain?

If it's the skeleton that is the "antenna," why would opening your mouth make any difference?
OK< I gotta try this. Why speculate when you can experiment?

Hey...it works!!!
Also, my penis has increased considerably in size simply by using this key fob trick.
Has something to do with the frequency seeking a suitable antenna.
Rep points for me please, if you find that this works for you.
Regards,
Bucky

Man, what a huge load of snake oil theories!
Has anyone tried holding the fob in the same orientation at the same height as their chin (or higher) and had any different results than holding it under their chin? I have and it makes no difference. The orientation of the fob has more to do with increased range than some magical interaction with our central nervous system. Hold the fob high over your head (and, therefore over more obstacles like parked cars) and you'll see better range.

My keyfob works at a distance of 120 feet in an open parking lot. Also works from inside stores from at least 40-50 feet, through walls and windows.
Unlocks doors, trunk, and opens windows and moonroof from all these distances.

I'm lucky if I get twenty feet line-of-site! I told the dealer, they are willing to take a look but not until I really need to bring it in for my first service. I love my TL to much to have it gone for a day.
This trick my friend has been doing for a while, I just looked at him funny, but I guess it really worked for his mitsu.

I've tried this and it works. I go walking around a track regularly at a local elementary school in the evenings, and at one point my car is 1/4 mile away from me. The ground is flat, though, and I can see my car in the distance. One night I was walking after dark so I left my headlights on. They cut off automatically and I started my walk. As I rounded the corner furthest from my car I saw a car pull in. I put the key fob under my chin and pressed unlock, then lock again.. just to see if it would work from this LONG distance (the car was way, way off in the distance).
I had to press it a few times, but the HIDs came on. I was like

that has been a trick used by the mechanics to find the car in the lot. If you go to a dealship, watch the mechanics come out to look for the car, they almost always have the key at their chin.

Just showed this to everyone at work and they thought I was losing it. Until they tried it themselves, and now they are all at the window rolling down windows from 200 ft.

My father in law was trying to set off a car alarm at a party (from the back deck, the car was parked in front of the house) I had him try this trick ..
I figured it was win win .. if it worked I was the hero, if it didn't I just pulled one over on him ...
well it didn't work, a bunch of the other son-in-laws watched him make an ass out of himself, sitting there with his mouth open and the alarm under his chin and he caught shite for the next 15 minutes.
Now the real trick is to show him it really works ... love screwin with the old guy's head

"Electrical Engineering is pure magic for anyone who's not an Electrical Engineer. RF is pure magic for Electrical Engineers who's not an RF Engineer." - ¿GotJazz?
Yes! I agree totally!!
I am an Electrical Engineer, along with mancur, I suspect you are as well...
I am NOT an RF engineer, however i have had some experience with RF, and I have my ameture radio license (no flames please ).
I work at boeing, I know plenty of EMI, HIRF (high intensity radiated field), RF engineers, etc. I will ask some of them their theories... mine is kinda mixed... either... you are reflecting it slightly, so the signals that went "backwards" are now simewhat being reflected forwards... or... the more far reaching theory, your body can probably be modled as capacior, resistor, and probably even an inductor, all of which are crucial in radio signals...
also, someoen said the reason your body gets shocked is b/c you are a weak conductor... technically, if the better conductor you are, the WORSE the shock will be... which is why wet hands, etc, makes it worse... if your hands were totally dry, you have a high resistance, making the current through you lower... it all goes back to the basic V=IR (voltage = current X resistance). It pretty much is the current that kills you, that's why i can (don't try this) take one hand and touch a flyback transformer from a small TV (as you go to grab it, it hurts, but once you grab it, it's not bad... like i said, DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!!) and then take the other hand and touch someoen else and it shocks them (this is very high frequency pulsed DC.. DC, AC, and static voltages, espsecially different frequencies of either pulsed DC or different frequency AC, all have different skin characteristics). Anyhow, back to the skin thing... If you have very high resistance, your R is low, which makes the I (current) lower... here is a VERY good explanation of it all... http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_1/chpt_3/4.html

I used to do the "chin" thing all the time with my aftermarket alarm on my '97 GS-R. However I stopped doing so because I noticed that I developed a rather significant lump under my chin. It was not visible by no means, but you could definitely feel it.Had no idea where it was coming from, but one day I just put one and two together. I stopped with the cin deal and the bump magically disappeared. Not sure if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

Another way to do this is to hold the keyfob in your right fist and then beat your left breast with it while at the same time pantemiming trying to bite your right ear. Do this rapidly in front of girls you wish to impress.

Based on my previous experience, (forgetting to lock my car and walking back from the entrance at work up 'till almost 30 ft and then I would hear the beep , telling me doors locked)...today at lunch I walked a few steps from this same entrance and tried the "trick" and started laughing at myself since I was able to not only unlock the doors but also was able to open all windows and sunroof....
