Key remote cover

Someone mentioned here that the remote/key chain gets scratched very easily. I know this is very trivial, but has anyone found a leather cover for our remote key chain like one below (I think this was for 2003/4 Accord).

Is this 80s all over again?

A remote cover has got to be THE dumbest invention in the automotive history!

Maybe so, but the remote cover does scratch easily. I've only had mine for less than 2 months and there are already some dings in it from dragging it in and out of my pocket.

This is a bit off-topic, but I was told that if you wanted to get the FOBs/keys replaced it costs something like $200. Yeow.

I agree, who the hell cares. I've seen those things before and they look like FOB condoms. Your FOB will probably last the entire life of the car. Maybe not looking like new, but It will still work.

Besides, you've got two of them. And worst case is that you could order another.

you can put a coat of rubber paint available in any hardware store. That way it won't scratch.

it's a little weekend project, if you really want a nice remote.

I searched and searched for a FOB-A-LACTIC for fob protection but I uas unhappy with the protection.

I just Zaino mine whenever I can.

I need a good weekend project, so I might try what NOX 3.2 says. With that thick rubber coating. I hope I don't loose the sensation of feeling the buttons click!

I really need a life....hahahahahah!!

My '95 Legend LS Coupe came with nice leather (or leatherlike material) covers for the keyless remotes. Which Acura still did that.
