Keeping the stock Brembo shims?

when replacing the front brake pads with aftermarket ones, do you guys keep and reuse the stock Brembo shims? I'm using the Rotora H2 pads and it looks like they already have shims attached to the back of them. I'm sure most other aftermarket pads (Cmax, Wagner, etc.) have their own shims included with the pads. So it sounds quite redundant to use the stock Brembo shims on top of an already shimmed pad. Wouldn't this cause additional brake squeel as well since there are more moving metal parts?

what's the general consensus on this? Let's hear your thoughts.

thanks

If the pads have a backing I'd leave them off but still use the anti-squeal solution where all 4 pistons make contact.

I reused my shims... Just make sure that you use anti-squeal when you do the job.

If the new pad came with shim then just toss the old one out, new pads usually included shim anyway.
