K-Tuner / J2435 Pass through programming

Hi all. Im looking at buying a K-Tuner V1.2 for my 07 TL Type S 6spd. Before spend the money on it though, I'm wondering if anyone has ever used a J2435 pass-through to flash custom tunes. I have a Drew CarDaq plus which I have used many times for factory refreshing, but that always requires a subscription from the manufacturer and the flash is premade from the manufacturer. I guess my question is, is there a program I can use with my CarDaq that allows me to make a tune (or use a tune from somewhere) and them flash the ecu with it? Thanks.

Got v1.2 for my 18 TLX, but I poked around the available options on 07 TLS 6MT. There were some settings you can adjust like target AFR, vtec engagement and monitors. Maybe email Ktuner directly. They lurk on here and sometimes post.

I've researched the v1.2 a lot, which is what I am looking at getting and pairing it with an Android tablet with Tunerview. But I already own the Drew CarDaq, which I paid like, $400 for, so if I don't Have to buy the ktuner, and I can save money and do it with what I already have, I would prefer that.

Hows it working for your TLX? Is it more restrictive in what you can do since it's a newer car?

The car is a stock A Spec, but it does what I intended:
1) Disable VCM at the ecu level rather than a unit that sends a false temp signal. 2) Adjust the acceleration pedal signal without running a separate piggyback unit. 3) Lower vtec engagement.
Those three things alone make this car much more fun to drive. Plus I can always re-flash to stock and sell the unit or use it in another car.
