As we all know this site is probably the most helpful thing out there to any acura owner whether they drive a stock car or an insanely modified one. People send 100's of messages to each other on this site asking about installs/car problems/parts/....etc...

inboxes start to get full and sometimes people are just lazy to click on the inbox n respond lol...

but anyways what do you think about having an online chat thing similar to facebook chat

where as long as you are friends with the person you can view your friends list for whoevers online n send him a mssg right away n get a response.

this site is extremely successful as it is but mods what do you think it wud take to get this started up

....opinions anyone?

I think it is a rather good idea. But that means major upgrades for the server.

Nice idea but by doing this wouldn't this eat more of the server bandwidth? Which making it slow or whatever? I'm no computer guru but most people have access to an Instant Messaging program

The really good thing about these posts is that conversations that contained good information are saved and searchable. Chat information are gone as soon as you are done.

An IRC channel could be setup on any of the major networks at no cost and a bot could be put in the channel to capture logs and make them available on the site.
