Just purchased my TL type S 6MT
Just wanted to welcome myself to this great forum. I just purchased a new 08 TL TYPE S 6MT and I love it. I've only got appx 80 miles on it so I haven't got on it all the way but man just crusing around from work it felt like it has a strongkick to it. Well just wanted to Hi....

My money is on NBP????? Sorry but what does this mean?? I purchased a white TL-S with blk.grey interior. SOrry for the lack of pics but work has me working like a MAD MAN... I'll posy pics very soon.. I plan on leaving it stock for a while but then again I wanna get jump right to it and install a CAI and maybe due a pulley exchange out.. Hey what do you guys think of using royal purple for the engine oil??

Dude!Remember, when you've got about 5-7000 miles on it, it'll be time to change the factory fill tranny fluid with ...
As almost all the 6MT owners here have done .... with very good reason !

It doesnt need to be changed, but there are quite a few who have experienced 3rd gear problems with their MT's. The GM synchromesh is the fix for that issue. You may never encounter this issue though, but your tranny would definitely benefit from that GM stuff regardless.

i have a ringing thats occuring right now from the inside of the tranny and (this is off topic but whatever) i brought it to acura and had the tech look at it and he says press the clutch and the noise goes away....all the parts (bearings,push fork,spring nuts bolts, flywheel, clutch) are brand new. he says to me change the fluid.... next week bring it in and lets check it out....so before I leave he took it for a spin around the block went inside to the computer and ordered a new tranny.

hmm.... does anyone suggest a tranny fluid for the auto? I have about 37K on my TL-S all highway driving of course.. I know I know 37K in a year is insane... I need to just start taking mass transit I guess
