I just pick my car up from Acura after a tranny replacement and now when I lock my car it:
doesn't flash to show locking ( it does flash to show unlocking)
doesn't beep to confirm locking
and the red security light doesn't flash on the door.
I checked the settings in the MID computer and they are all fine.

My question is: Is there a switch on the hood somewhere that lets the security system know the hood is closed, and where is it if there is? I hope it is an easy fix because I don't want to have to take it back to Acura for something stupid.

Another thing, the new tranny Whines really loud from take off, is this normal, and will it quiet down after a few miles. I bought the car new and it now has 59k on it. I don't remember it ever whining this loud. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I'd take it back to the dealer. I know it's a pain, but a new tranny shouldn't make noise. The alarm is probably a loose wire or something. Take it back.
