It's definitely you.

Stock is all Osram 4300K D2S...so it's all the same. The older the bulb, the yellower hue it will give. The projection may make it seem brighter from a distance...

When you first turn the lights on, they look blue untill they warm up.

hmmm i notice a bit of a difference. i have an 05 TL and my hid's seems to be a bit whiter and have a bit of a blue hue to them from a distance. i have not changed the bulbs or modified them in any way.

i was driving around in an 08 base TL loaner and the lights seemed a bit yellow...i know it wasnt just me becuase my brother along with some friends noticed as well.

Don't bulbs tend to shift color after about 100 hours of use? I think they turn more blue.

The only difference between 04/05 and 06+ headlights are the deflector is different. Can't remember the technical names - but the 04 version uses the DOT slope (I think its called) - where the newer ones have a straight cut.

I.E. 04 = ________/----------------

06+ = _________I--------------------
