Just got back form an Auction

This morning I went to an auction in L.I. I was tring to get a few dollars for my 95 galant so I can get an 04 TL my father has been hoarding from customers at the Lexus dealership where he works. This Tl is like brandnew. It got traded in to the Lexus dealership with 1500 (fifteen hundred not 15000) miles on it. The car was hardley even driven. I can take it home for myself for 25250 + Tax. It doesn't have navi and is an automatic. What you think about the price.

At the auction there were two 04 TLs. They both had around 18k miles on them. And showed some wear and tear on the rear bumbers. I assume they were rentals or somthing. The automatic with navi, spoiler, and tints brough $27000 and the manual 6 speed no navi and tints didn't sell but i think the bids were up to $25000. Based on the prices these cars are wholesaling and the mileage do you think I am getting a good deal.

As for the price, yes I think that is an excellent price. I used to work at an Acura dealer and that car at retail would bring WAY more than that.

I'm not completely sure, but $25,250 sounds like a pretty good price for the car, it seems like similar ones go for a couple thousand more. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I'm not up on the whole third gen times though.

make sure you check the car out well. there must be a reason they traded it in. Interms of price though that is good

25000 is about what the trade in value is for an 04. So.. I think it is a good deal.. I would just be leary about it and make sure it gets all checked out.

That sounds about right for the Price, I am looking at about 35-50k 2004TL's at about 20-22k so yours sounds about right, and Kelly Blue Book says thats about trade in price, and Auctions usually come in about trade in price or a little over

If you don't buy it I will!

That's a great price. I bought a certified pre-owned 04 TL (5AT, non navi, 22,700 miles) for $25,800 a month ago (it was a courtesy vehicle, but at least it's certified). If that car has 1500 miles on it, it's a steal at $25250. You could turn around and sell it for $27K (if you wanted to).
