Just got a 2004 TL
How are the tires?
Work on the suspension.
How's it been maintained?
Your question is a little vague without supporting details from you.

In regards to making it drive smooth, the TL already has a pretty decent ride. I just decided to purchase the Tein S Tech springs for my car, from the reviews it seems as if it will fit my needs. Just enough of a drop to change the look up, and not crazy unaffordable either! There are websites that have them for 140USD!, and best off all you don't compromise ride quality with these.
Need more info. How many miles does it have? What maintenance has been done?
It's a 12 year old car, and most people don't maintain their vehicles, so it's probably due for shocks/struts and probably compliance bushings.
I'm going to assume it's an auto (simple because most are). If by chance it is a manual, the FIRST THING YOU SHOULD DO is the Slave cylinder check valve delete. It's FREE and makes the car drive like a proper manual transmission.
You got new tires - did you get an alignment too?

As far as it running smooth... who knows? Is it misfiring? Vibrations? Tires out of balance? Chopped tires? How are we supposed to know. I would be willing to be that most or all of the motor mounts are shot and it's on the factory T belt. Which could have stretched 1/2 off a tooth causing a rough idle but no cel light (seen it 3 times now) (makes for putting the new belt on a royal pita)... well.. not really but I did have a cam turn on me because of it... sketchy...
Tell your parents, lol. He's 25! Wait, nevermind...

You guys are getting troll'd in a major way...
Nobody is this dense and admits it.
You want a smoother ride? Gain some weight. A fatter ass will give better cushioning for bumpy rides.

Check the door jamb to see if the A Spec factory wheel sticker is there
