Talking

I have a 6MT/NAVI/Antracite/Ebony with a clear-bra that I picked up on 12/10/03. It is the one with a dead HandsFreeLink (and I purchased a Bluetooth phone just for the car). One of these days I will take it in to get the HFL fixed.

That's the rarest and most beautiful combination IMO. Mine's coming in February w/Navi to which I'll be 'wooding' the rest of the dash from exoticwoodash.com. Recently saw a camel interior done up that way.
NOW THAT'S SMOKIN!!! :smokin: :smokin: :smokin:

At least two in Houston!!

SSM / Quartz / with HPTs. Picked up 12/13.

Love being back in a manual. Love the car so far, just right now hating the dealer (I am the one with the crack in windshield which they say is caused by a rock)

DMZ,
Thanks, and I agree. I was holding out for a Black / parchment originally, but when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it! I didn't like the camel on any other color but on the green.

Cheers!

Do any of you have any serious issues with torque steer on hard acceleration? Car and Driver made a big deal over this. I'm seriously considering buying a TL and would appreciate your input.

I wouldn't say serious issues. The car has gobs of torque and if you take her to redline in first, you do notice quite a bit of torque steer. This being my first FWD car, it was something that I had never experienced, but as long as you keep a good grip on the wheel, it's nothing that cannot be easily handled. I would say go out and test drive this car and feel for yourself.

I love my TL and though there are some quirks about it, it's a wonderful car to own and drive. But like I said, go test drive one for yourself and see what you think.

Cheers!

I don't have a serious issue with it. It's noticible but doesn't spoil the driving experience. Everything else about the care more than makes up for it.

Question what is vin your vin

I drove a 6mt this weekend vin 13.'k something, Did not notice vibration while driving, but it hard when saleman is breathing done your neck, but later when alone I started car and gave it gas from idle to about 1500 rpm, I notice vibration through steering wheel and seats at that range. It clearlly is from engine, as car was in neutral, Car was warm, It may be what you are feeling when you drive yours,

Got mine 12/20. Fantastic car. Took it to the mountains this weekend. Awesome. Torque steer - no problem if you moderate your right foot a little and apply power gradually.
