just came back from a 2 week vacation to Taiwan
got into my TL and headed toward the freeway. as i merged into the freeway lanes from the ramp, i was thinking i probably need to speed up a bit to catch on the traffic flow, looked at the speedometer and shows 80 MPH. 80 already!? wtf i thought i was accelerating quite conservatively, damn this thing goes up fast.

lol I do that alot. Especially since I came from an Jeep Wrangler. This is my frist luxury sedan and its so quiet and smooth I always have to check the speedometer to make sure Im not speeding. I getting pretty used to it now though.

since i may move back there in a few years, i am thinking of shipping the TL, it would be one of a kind over there, kinda cool isn't it? for those who don't recognize our cars, if they try to race us, i cant wait to see their expression after our car smoke past them
shipping cost is around $2000, but auto import are 100% tax so that is another $30g.... but i think it would be worth it if we keep our cars at top shape, it would be the THE ONE
by the way....where do you guys live now and are u planning to back?

Yeah, they have no idea what a TL is over there. Some guy that worked at Honda was making fun of me about buying an 07 TL-S thinking it was some small 4 banger - then when I told him it's 3500cc (notice the "taiwanese way" here) and it's 286HP, he shut up real quick.
One thing though.. you'll have a tough time keeping any car in good shape in any city in Taiwan. The amount of acid rain will destroy the paint on your car, you'll get dents and dings like crazy (they have some crazy parking skills - force your car into a spot by bumping the parked cars out of the way), etc.
BTW, To answer your other question, Taiwanese in Vancouver.
