Junk yard run

One of the local junkyards got an 08 in this week, so I thought I’d go down there and see what I can scavenge.
I needed a driver side seat track as mine is lose probably from the neck braking acceleration of the 6sp. Lol.
The car there was an auto so I figured the track should be solid and if not I wasted $19.
Picked up some other small pieces while there. Mainly the cup holder assembly. Seems like a lot of people ask about the sliding part and since this wasn’t broken, I bought it.
I was also hoping to snag the mirrors since they have the true signals on them but the housings were cracked. The passenger mirror wasn’t brown at all and mine is a little so I grabbed it.
The oem wheels had rash on them so I didn’t want to spend $100 on them. Maybe I’ll go back, not sure.

Nice run Joe, about the seat my TL-S seat is moving too and mine is not a 6spd lol. The cup holder lit is pretty easy to fix people just want to replace it but eventually it will happen again.

Really? The seat itself was already unbolted from the car so I couldn't sit on it to see if it rocked. I just took it apart from the seat back. Oh well, the type s has more giddy up, hopefully this one doesn't rock. I'd hate to go through the work to swap it out for nothing. Lol

its a typcial failure for all 3g TL, there plenty of thread guys that has these seat replaced under initial 4 years/50,000 miles warranty. Its the plastic bushing that goes bad over time and cause the seat to rock about 1/8 inch unfortunately there are no way to get around this unless you replaced the whole seat rack.

The only way is to sit in one and try to rock it from side to side and up and down motion while they still mounted in the car.

Lol, I know that but in my case I can’t. I guess I’ll just swap it.
