It's Time: RonJon 2007 TL-S Lip kit, Please participate...

Ok, this is the first attempt. I can barely make up my mind on either a full kit or an add on lip kit. I figure we already have a full TL kit and this would be another option. Most likely, both kits will fit the 07 TL-S. Feedback is appreciated, and I really think out of all the new Acura and Honda vehicles, that this TL-S has the most potential.
Pricing will be a little below $1300, made from urethane as long as it remains an add on lip. Rear shots will come later.

I like the add on lip idea Rondy, just from a price perspective.

Ron,

Can you PLEASE make something like this to fit the 04-06? I can't stand the A-Spec kit, and I love the way this looks!

Otherwise, will this fit the current TL since the bumpers really have not changed?

Thanks,
John

I love all of your work Ron..but my personal feelings on this first shot at the TL-S kit is it makes the car look "cheap" The slats on the front and sides give it that "import tuner" cheap kit look. The shape of the kit is great..I am just not a fan of the slats in the kit. This is a $40,000 car. The rims are GREAT, just would like to see a change in the slats. Just my two cents.
Cheers!

Very nice work, very clean... not too many angles, not too many smooth surfaces either, just right in my eyes. The slots look just fine to me as well, and do not give a cheap impression.

The price for only a front addition is a drawback though...

By the way, what rims are those?

I like the second one more ... but only if it fits the '04-'06 as well.

As he's said, he's concentrating on the TL-S. This kit obviously can't fit a pre-07. I would say your 2nd concept is right on RJ! Looks hott! (the left front edge of the lip looks smushed/not that accurate. You might want to proportion that a bit.)

If you don't mind me asking, can you explain the potential of this car? I mean, if I do get to save enough money... maybe.. a year or two.. MAYBE.. I'll be able move on up from the '99

Car looks like its from the year 2010 haha

i would choose between the 1st and 2nd pic, how would it look if that rod on the edge of the lip is black instead of silver on the 2nd pic? or just not there at all

Red face

the wheels arn't very nice, and what's up with the back ones being even bigger than the front? looks hidious to me like that, especially if it's a fwd then it's also funny. The kit is not too bad, however, the full kit on the 04-06 looked better.

P.S.: could of flipped the front wheel so that the caliper is atleast in the front as it's supposed to be

Not feeling the gills at all. Kit is beautiful. Are those wheels available soon? I'm getting ready to order the Inspyre's in about 2 weeks, but I'll hold off if these are coming soon.

agreed I also agree to remove the slits from the side skirts. Also a carbon fiber insert where the bottom of the front lip is would probably look hot too and go nicely with those of us who have the CF trim inside our TL's.

I understand that, but I dont want the whole kit, just a lip kit. If this fits the 04-06, I would buy it hands down...either one!

Definitely get rid of the slits on the sides. I like the front of the 2nd pic though. Not really feeling the wheels. Inspyres are much better.

I like this version. Dump the gills on the side skirts and you're done. Can't wait to see the back.

Ron, Have you thought about doing a rear wing for our TLs? Our choices are kinda limited between the 2 factory versions.

Ron, if you made a lip kit for the 04-06 TL I bet you would sell a ton. Personally, i thought the price point of your kit was too high, but a lip kit in the $1100-1200 range, i bet you would make alot of sales.

i would have rather bought a kit like this than the a-spec.......

ok although i prob wont be getting a s i do like the first version mabye its just me but the gills or what have you, to me gives the car a more muscular look as opposed to without the gills it has a sporty look would it be that much trouble to offer the gills as an option? off topic**** while i do somewhat like the design of the rims (for the uniqueness) that finish just donst look good on a ssm i know its just a bsps pic and that finish would prob look great on a am/dmm. 3pc devotions are the best

ding069 - if it were made to fit the 04-06 TL, I'd sell my ASPEC kit and buy it. I was actually sitting here thinking about buying it and molding it to the 04-06 bumpers, but if it fit out of the box, it'd be a lot easier.

RJANACONDA - those wheels would look good on my WDP...but you're right, my Devotion 3pF's look better .

I dont understand why the sides and the rears won't fit the 04-06 TL's? And is the front bumper different on the TYPE S? I'm talking about dimensions not the fog lights and stuff.
