It's the subtleties that make me happy
Nothing major here, just something small and cheap that in my opinion only helps to enhance the look of our cars (or in this case any car).
When I purchased my car the rear license plate only had two bolts holding it in causing the plate to rattle quite a bit when closing the trunk. The front had four screws holding it in but they were huge bile yellow () and pointy screws. Not only did I hate the look of these huge screw heads but I didn't want to have new holes punched into my bumper should anyone ever back into my front bumper since they were probably less than half inch away from the bumper .
I went to Autozone earlier today to pick up oil and picked these up while I was there. Total was less than $10 for these guys. (I didn't use the pointy ones, but instead used two sets of the machine screws).
Unfortunately I didn't take a before picture but didn't think one was needed since I'm sure every dealer/lot uses whatever screws they have on hand anyway.
As far as the install.....remove screw, insert screw into washer/cup, screw "modified" screw into plate hole, and push the black caps onto the washer/cup until it clicks and sits flat around the entire edge. That's it really so here are some pictures.
Comments and criticism are always welcome

My license plate has rattled since i got the car because it doesn't have the lower two screws. Just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Thanks.

I applied 10mil of sound damper to the back of the plate and the inner perimeter of the plate frame, then fastened with 2 x M8x20 ISO 4017 bolts - this creates a full compression between the frame, plate, and lid.
Your fix will work just fine for an OE setup, if you throw a sub in there, well...

Those are nice too. Couldn't have those for too long here in NY before they get stolen though

Can't remember to be honest with you but I know they were the same pitch as the factory nuts on the rear plate. I held them up against one another and the threadsd fit perfectly inside each other so I knew I wouldn't strip anything (lazy trick). I'm almost positive it's the standard M6 1.0 size though.
EDIT: Looks like they are M6 bolts. Here's a link to the manufacturer's listing of the bolts I used: http://www.bellautomotive.com/Import...-1-46090-8.htm

Everyday I'm rofling
Those caps are a good idea! I painted the screw heads black on mine to match the plate but the caps look cleaner.
