The 335 manuals that I drove all had somewhat rubbery shifters and clutches that didn't have much feel and used all their travel, not engaging until let up fully. The Audi 4s look better and has nicer interiors overall.

Damn, man...another OG, that's two in one week! Congrats on the purchase, your contributions have always been technically enriching to us layfolk here on A'Zine and I personally thank you for the times you've helped guide me on a few threads.
Hope you stick around!

Thanks gg. Lots of folks don't notice the difference when they pass by my house because all they see is the rear end and the color... which is so close to my TL's color.
It does look great. However, the gen3 TL was one of the best looking cars in the past 25 years.
Thanks much. What gets you is the torque and the throttle response. Something that never gets tired.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's "OG". (watch him say "Old Guy", heh heh).
Glad I was of help to you. I suspect I'll hang around a bit. I still have an '05 TL, though it is an automatic (my wife's ride).

Congrats, man...
After having an S5 for a week, the S4 (need 4 doors) was on the list of an upgrade for my 6MT TL too. Nice to see someone having a great experience and not regretting it...I've been toiling for a long time.
CTS-V is another one I'm leaning heavily toward if I ever grow the sack to do it.

Damn...I missed the pictures.
So the two long time "Old Guy's" he mentioned that upgraded went to an S4 and a Macan Turbo Porsche...I think the fact that they both kept the TL for 10 years and then upgraded to THAT should tell you the quality of the TL. Very hard to decision, I cut my wrenching teeth on the TL. I think it would be VERY bittersweet to move on from her, but I do understand how much more power and comfort I could have. My needs and opinions have changed a lot from when I bought it. We shall see...
and Joe knows...he's the main one driving my desire for the V. I just drool over his stories and few pictures.

Indeed, an extremely difficult decision. At least it was for me.

That is one nice ride! Hopefully she treats you good. A buddy of mine had a 2013 S4 and his wife had a Q3 and they recently got rid of them both because they got sick and tired of the repairs and the time the cars spent in the shop.

Same here.. I loved wrenching on the TL and it was a great car. I still miss it. Performance wise, it was in a sweet spot of just enough power and great handles. Plus parts are so damn cheap and engine is practically bulletproof. I may pick up a 3G KPG Type-S MT later on. For now, I'll enjoy causing mayhem at relatively low speeds.

Whoa, that doesn't sound good. Were that to happen to me, I would be very despondent.

The original warranty is for four years, 50,000 miles. The three year warranty I purchased comes in at the end of the factory warranty period so I wind up with seven years of coverage.

Ferrari? Naw, don't see that in my future. Tell you what I would love to have. A 1966 Chevy II SS L79 327, a 1966 L72 427 Corvette, maybe a 1964 427 Ford Fairlane 500, and a few others of the type thrown into the mix.
