So the 04 TL I just bought has white/blue interior lights. They look to be like a hyper white color. Was this a stock options? I had a 08 loaner from the dealer today and it has the standard yellowish white colored lights most cars have.

 

i assume you are talking about the domes, maps lights, vanity lights and so forth, if that's the case then nope its not stock, all aftermarket.

 

I thought it must be. I am going to look at this car really good. It looks like who ever had it must have been like most here. The lights look really good, someone redid all of the lights to the hyper-white style color.

Also what about the little lights that are by the sunroof that shine all of the time that are really dim. Are they originally blue? They are the ones that shine down on the center console.

Does anyone offer any type of reflash for the TL? My car seems quite a bit faster than another 04 I drove that was an auto, and seems a lot faster than the 08 loaner the dealer let drive today, it was an auto as well.

Could it be that the 6 spd just makes that much of a difference?

 

yep, sound like aftermarket. I have an 04 as well and it had stock yellowish bulbs. You may have leds in there if they do not look yellowish. Pop off some of those covers and check it out!!! Post pics of what you find

 

Mine are originally blue. I like that. (I think TL-S is red). I would change the LEDs to white but my interior is parchment so it looks good in yellow. The exterior is another story since I want the fog, DRL, and license plate lights to be white.

 

You are correct for the TL-S, the interior lights are red.

yup the ones near the map light are originally blue and as someone stated above they are red in the type-S. i think u r just feeling the difference in speed due to your tranny
