Interior front Dome light

So, you know the clear dome lights in your face when the light comes on? Well, I fixed that with some less bright, white LED's and I like the color too. The cheaper LEDs, even though they claim they are white, they give off a slightly blue tint. So I think it looks good considering I did have some actual “blue” LEDs, which were VERY blue and it kinda made it look cheap so I went with white and surprisingly they give off a blue tint and they are not too bright, like some people have complained about when they used them for exterior. But for the purpose, I like the cheaper LED's inside because they don’t blind me when I turn off my car and they give off a blue tint. Looks electric now. But anyway, the reason for this post..

Those same lights when you manually press them.. My gosh what a terrible CLICK. The operation of those lights just seems cheap to me. Why Acura put in such cheap front dome lights, I have no idea. They are big and clunk and when you press them it clicks like an old technology in an old car. So what I want to do is swap out the button inside. If you remove the clear plastic piece, there is a button that makes that 1950’s clicking sound. I LOVE Honda and Acura turn signals, and blinkers and most of the buttons. If you ever get into “hardware design”, you'll find that if you want to buy a switch, there are thousands of choices. When I was in engineering school I found a huge book, just on switches! Some have a better feel than others, and some flipped, some switches you push a button, just all kinds! If you get in a GM, and turn the blinker, it goes SNAP!.. But in a Honda or an Acura it just bounces into position smoothly! I even had an 89 Accord and their turn signal switch was A MILLION times better than my much much newer Z28 Camaro! Is it any wonder why those GM switches would break with age? There is so much stress in the toggling of the lever it’s no wonder they break. But not on Honda switches. It’s all in the quality of the part selection! And its very easy to see that Honda/Acura installs much better quality parts, even when it comes to “small things” like switches, aka everything you touch. My only complaint is that stupid dome light. SNAP on and SNAP off! It's not likely to break, but you do sorta have to bang that plastic piece fairly hard to get it to switch. So, I'd like to find another internal manual switch to replace that snappy switch. I'm not talking about replacing the clear plastic, but just the switch that the plastic piece pushes on. It's kinda like the left and right buttons on your mouse. They press against the actual switch inside. Has anyone ever changed out that switch?
