Interior Courtesy/map lights...how to question (?)
Newbie question here…Does anyone know how to remove the plastic cover over the courtesy/map lights? I’m putting in my LEDs and it seems like I’m about to break or crack something trying to pop it open. Also, since it’s the push on/off thing I didn’t wanna goof up any springs in there. Thanks.

use a butter knife to pry them out from the end closest to the rear of the car (front) or sides (rear). Go through this thread for more info: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/definitive-led-thread-all-youll-ever-need-know-about-leds-3g-garage-g-076-a-633045/

^^ Sorry, Izzy. Incorrect info above. The front domes need to be pried from the side closest to the windshield. Basically, you need to pry them from the side that you press on to turn them on. That link has lots of pics and tips for every courtesy light in the car. The Vanity Lights are the worst to open. There is also a great tip that shows how to wrap some tape around the front dome bulbs to extract them---a real time saver.

Thanks! I finally found a thread with some info before you guys had responded last night & I think even dwb was wrote in one...I had the butter knife and could not get it to work at all. So I got a steak knife...for the pointer tip. I stuck it into the little groove on the shorter side of where you push it to turn the light on and it popped right out. The back ones were a slight bit trickier but same concept. I got the blue LEDs and I'm not 100% quite happy with the look, I'll probably change them out soon again...especially now that I see how easy it is. Thanks again!
