I hate starting a new thread for something so simple, however, I cannot find an answer through the forums or Google. My question: what color(s) of interior could you have with 2005 - 2006 TLs (nav or non-nav, non-Type S?

Specifically, was there ever a White exterior with Ebony interior? I think the Type S was but I can't find nor afford a decent Type S.

I'm still waiting for a shipment of TLs to come into my local Acura....should be tomorrow night when they are auctioned to that dealer, and then around Saturday when they are chosen to certify or get rid of.

So, I told my salesman I'd go with White and even pay what he wanted if it had Ebony interior (I highly dislike the beige and ebony mixture that was in the White TL I test drove last week). The salesman said he doesn't think they were made like that. I know that the Black ext. had either ebony int. or beige int. so I don't see why not on the White ext.....?

First, there was no TL-s in 2005 or 2006.

Pearl Anthracite Metallic

Desert Mist Metallic

White Diamond Pearl

Interior colors:
Camel
Ebony

Yes, 05-06 models did come w/ WDP exterior and Ebony interior if I remember correctly.

 

I think the 06 TL only has that combo. Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen 05 with that combo at all, kind of rare.

I have a 06 TL with White diamond pearl exterior and ebony interior, its also a 6MT. I bought it new and had to wait 2 months to get this car. I think its one of the rarest TL's to find and also the best looking IMO. It took forever to get one sent to Texas.

I have seen so many 06 TL's that are white with beige interior, but very few with ebony interior. I think Acura built the beige interior with white instead of ebony 100 for every 1. The white with beige (tan) doesnt look good to me.

 

ggesq the 06 came in that combo i remember going into the dealer in 05 and asking for white outside n black inside the guy laughed and said wait for next year. lol i got the ssm instead

 

and turbonut im sure he knows there were no TL-S back then ...but im also sure he meant TLs in plural.... lol

yea if it was a late build i can see it happening... but if it was early its weird.....i went nuts when i asked about the white with black or blue with black...and they said sorry maybe in late 05 or early 06 when the new models drop. i woulda taken the dark blue with ebony no prob auto or stick....the color combo woulda been sick

On the subject here, were there any '04 WDP w/ebony produced? I had no luck in finding one, and finally settled with the parchment, which was my second choice.

 

No, in 2004 the WDP was offered with the Parchment or Quartz interiors, the Ebony was added in later years.

I did mean TLs plural; I don't know of any other way to express more than one TL. I did not know Type-S didn't come out until 2007. I thought it was out in 2004 with the other 3rd gens. The only difference I thought between pre-07 was the non-blinker mirrors.

Basically I'm looking for an 05 or 06 TL with nav. If the only years for Type S are 07 and 08, then fine - but I'm still not wanting a Type S.
My preference is NBP with ebony interior. BUT, if I go with WDP or SSM I would not be happy with tan (or camel) interior.
The reason I mentioned Type S is that I'm pretty sure that one pulled into the Service Drive at Acura with ebony interior.....well the door was black at least. It was a WDP Type S though.
Now that I know only 07 and 08 are Type S, I rule out Type S even more for cost. I would love a WDP TL navi with ebony interior though.

 

Is there a picture page somewhere?? I know the colors of the exterior from looking at different TLs and making deductions. But Parchment and Camel seem to be the same basic tannish color to me. I have no clue what quartz is reduced to.

I searched for like...an old website of Acura showing the available ext/int color combos. The only site I could find was of the new models.

 

Parchment is a lighter tan. Camel is more orange/tan. Quartz is grey. Have you looked in the photo gallery for pics? There are tons in there.

 

was there no taupe offered before 07 for interior....
