Interesting info, please read...

As most of you know I had the A-spec kit installed on my TL last week and found out some interesting info on the actual hardware.

First off from what the boxes the A-spec kit came in, all parts are made in Japan, so that's kinda nice.

Second, the stock steering wheel is made in "Mexico" Can you believe it, not even Canada, that was a shocker to me.

Third, stock 17" wheels are made by Enkei, but I think that was already posted some time back.

Fourth, the stock wheels weren't as light as I'd thought they'd be. I remember the stock 17" on my 2000 Mustang GT being lighter, but oh well.

Fifth, and most inportant I have pics of everything!!

peace out :toothless

I didn't realize the stock side moldings were removed to install the new ones. that supports my "not much weight is added" arguement. Any idea how much the front and rear underbody spoilers weighed?

......so with the stock steering wheel being made in mexico, and the TL being built in the states, I wonder what other parts are from a non japanese or US origin.
And I guess my point to saying that is, can the quality of an acura built in the US, out sourcing to Mexico, be as good as an acura built in japan with japan only parts...........unless they would have used the same made in mexico steering wheel in japan?

Does anyone have any insight on this?
