Intelligent Key

Not sure if this is in the right place.

What are the chances that the 05 TL will have a Intelligent key?
The 05 G35 has it. You can read about it here. Nissan also gave the G35 the memory seats linked to the remotes or the Intelligent key.

Yeah a Keyless-go type of deal like some of the JDM Hondas have would be awesome. IMO, it's little features like that which would make Acura look more luxury instead of being compared to Maxima's, IS300's and Accord's.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket company that offers this feature?

Even the Toyota Prius has keyless go. How come our TLs don't. It's a pretty cool feature which I think Acura should have implemented into the 3rd gen TLs.

i agree i would have loved to have the keyless system in the TL. i doubt that any aftermarket system will be out soon because its a relatively new system for cars. the technology for the keys(probably rfid) has been around but not incorporated into automotive use and will take a few years before it matures. at that time you will probably see alot of aftermarket kits available for retrofits.

The RL will have it. The TL will probably have it in 05. It was in my list of changes for the 05 TL. Same goes for the run-flat PAX system with tire presure monitoring. The RL will have it, the 05 TL might. SH-AWD for the TL probably 06.

those cars mentioned don't have bluetooth, or dvd-a, or a killer voice activated navigation to name a few.... mind you this feature would rock on the TL, its all a matter of having a certain amount of features in a price point, some have to go, some have to stay... its a moot topic

where did you get this list of changes for the 05? I highly doubt the 05tl will have keyless go.

also, doesn't the tl have memory seats linked to the remote?

The 05 Odyssey will have the PAX system. I'll take Michelin PAX on the 05 TL over BS anyday!

if the 05 doesn't have it, it is only a matter of time, before all acura's have it. Next to come after the RL is the TL.....

As far as run-flats, IMO it should be an option, not standard equipment...run-flats are very heavy and expensive.

Is a known fact the the RL will have for 05. It will also have easy entry/exit feature. This feature will move the seat back when you enter the car and when you exit, it will also adjust the steering columm.

All that, and more, for only about $15,000 additional. But the 2005RL will be a nice car, just waaaaay out of my league. Im happy I'm happy with my TL.
