Installing CAI with only removing one side of bumper?
Like the title says, can i only loosen up the right side of the bumper so I can reach inside and take out the airbox?
From my research only way to install a CAI on our cars has to do with fully detaching the bumper instead of just do it all from the engine bay

Removing the bumper takes 30 minutes the first time you do it then takes less than 15 once you get to know your way.
If you want to risk dropping your bumper, breaking it or scratching it, go ahead and try to detach only one side... :S

Why would I scratch or drop the bumper if it's still attached on the other side?? Think there is a bigger chance of me breaking it if i try to detach it by myself if I never did it before

Look how to remove it. You'll definitely just pull it in weird ways which might end up breaking it or scuffing it by trying to only detach it from one side. Really, the bumper is just a few push pins/clips and bolts.

No you can't remove only one side. The bumper isn't made of rubber. You can't stretch it out.....
The only way is to remove the bumper.
You haven't taken your bumper off yet so I can see why you don't understand, but once you take your bumper off you'll quickly realize that trying to do it with one side still attached is impossible. No ifs, ands or asses about it

silly ass people!!!!!!!!!!!!
you cannot get around taking off the bumper.
Once you've taken it off once, it will be easier the 2nd,3rd,4th -100th time around.
because you've gained experience on how to take it off.
Dont cheat yourself and make jobs harder than what they are.

Did you completely remove the OEM air box that extends in the driver side wheel well under the battery? I mean, technically, nothing stops you from simply removing the part with the air filter and plugging a short CAI like that, but I imagine most people would want 1) colder air 2) removing all the remnants of the OEM air box.
If you did remove it, well props to you. I would still argue it's easier simply unclipping the bumper and having room to work.

You need to jack up the car, remove the wheel, mess with the wheel well. It's good if you're already on the jack with the wheels removed though.

I have had the bumper off .. for other reasons .. and this was a lot less stress truing to put the bumper on by yourself .. .. less work .. but if you have no floor jack or proper tools then maybe. But unless you have done it both ways .. how would you know?

You know like I do the bumper is only a few clips and bolts. I don't see what's stressful about removing it.
Neither do I see what's stressful about removing the wheel, but you have to account putting the car on the jack and jack stands. Inherently, that's always a technically more dangerous procedure than removing plastic.
Nevertheless, you're pretty much the only person to come up with a solution other than removing the bumper that makes some sense.

I took off the bumper for the first time on Sunday and it took me 20min. I did it a 3rd time just yesterday and had it off in about 10min.
Putting it back on yourself can be a bit of a hassle, but it's fairly simple too.

Hey now, it took me 2 hours to take my front bumper off the first time*!!!
*because I took an hour and forty minute nap, in between.
