Installed new slim ballast hids

Alright fellas Ive been driving with one HID for about 3 or 4 weeks now...I ordered new HID slim ballasts and bulbs thru a good friend of mine about 3 weeks ago... Well they finally came so I was eager to have them installed. I was gonna have AckTL05 install them but he's an hour and a half away and I didnt know when Id have time to make the drive... So thru shear will power and motivation I installed them myself! I removed the bumper which was pretty easy coulda been quicker if I had a ratchet set... removed the headlights which again coulda been easier if I had a ratchet set, I had to borrow my brothers. Putting everything back together wasnt as fun as removing it at all but I got it all back together bumper lines up pretty good I didnt lose any clips and life is good... I never thought in a million years that I could do this on my own its a great feel of accomplishment. So now Im gonna ask my girlfriend to buy me a mini mechanics ratchet set perhaps a 50 pc.
LIFE IS GOOD now
Oooo do any of you guys know of any headlight cleaner I ask because my passenger side headlight looks not as new as my driverside.
How the heck do you post pics within a thread?

Congrats! On the mechanics tool set... hold out for a sale on Craftsman 204 pc set. You can sometimes get them for right at $100.

Some people on a different forum had good luck with the Turtle Wax headlight kit. I tried it on that car and it sucked. I plan on having a professional sand mine down and shooting with clear coat.

I sanded them down myself, 1500 grit wet sandpaper. I cant remember the name of the polish I used. I sanded down the aging factory clear and buffed with the polish, didnt turn out too bad, but like "NWSTL" said, I need to have them sprayed with a new coat of clear.

Just buy a headlight restorer kit if you're new at this. And good job!

You can get a 10" buffer at WalMart for about $25. Well worth the money. Or, the kits often use a drill bit style buffer so you could borrow someones if you don't have one or buy a cheap one, they come in handy.
