Installation cost for A-spec?
for those of you that bought and installed the A-spec kit.... how much can i expect to pay to get it installed at the dealership or a body shop? installing it myself is not a consideration as i dont wanna risk fu**ing it up! any info is greatly appreciated!
i was thinking 200-300 would be ok...? any thoughts?

it's really easy, take some time but much better for you to do it yourself. cause if dealer fuXXed up they will just hide it. and they don't really take their time on it. they just get it done as soon as they can. so it's always better to take it into your own hands.

^^^^I'm with stupid, in this case, mod ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I paid $350 at Shittown (smithtown) Acura which included A-Spec install and swap out for 07 BASE NON TYPE S tails on my 06.
IT paid off because they didn't do it right the first time, I made them take my rear bumper off and put it back on again...if I would've done it myself, it would've taken me a lot longer #1 and I'm sure I would've procrastinated doing it.
Well worth the 350 to have someone else do both and have the piece of mind for the warranty on my 5yr/100k

I bought my a-spec kit and installed it myself. It sounds hard, but its really not. The kit comes with step by step instructions, and all the wholes that need to be drilled are marked out on the bumper. Trust me, take your time and do it yourself, you can use the $300+ somewhere else.

Just spent the last few hours doing the side skirts and rear bumper on the '07 Type S. I didn't get started until around 4pm and it's a little after 8 now.
I have to say, this is the BEST designed body kit I have ever seen!!! (figures, it's Honda after all). The directions are easy to follow and the hardest part (IMO) was dealing with those stupid rear screws in the fender well with the entire 1.25" you have to work with.
If I were to do it again, I'd pop the rear of the car up on jack stands and pull the wheels out (just to have the luxury of more room to mess with the screws).
Overall, it's a very easy install. It's just time consuming.
FYI - the Type S version requires that you cut out a decent portion around the original exaust tip area. The Dremel with a cutting tool works EXTREMELY well for this.
