The search function isn't working for me. I keep getting error messages and "stopword" msgs.. Is there a thread on how to change/ install the air filter on a 2005TL?? Thanks.

It's really that simple?? I figured it would be more involved since everything else on this car seems to be hidden. Thanks!

sorry, i figured you had issues with the difficult one
yeah, its pretty simple. the flex hose is a little stiff and you may need to wiggle things around to get proper access, but its just a few screws...

4 screws to be exact...make sure you have a LONG screw driver for the back right one.

There are also two plastic "clips" that secure a plastic conduit which runs along the rear (throttle body side) of the upper housing. You need to remove those from their inserts as well.

Just take off the 4 clips along the Air Filter housing and 4 Screws, pull the housing up, then take out old filter and put in the new one. This is probably the easiest things you can do on your car besides adding fluids!
