By doing this I assume it would put out more light, right?

So I assume you would be using a 55w bulb to go along with it...

By putting a 55w ballast to a 35w bulb would burn the bulb out wouldn't it? Where's OP, I wanna know what he's getting at

Same here. This wouuld be awesome to get more light without changing the color. I've never heard of this.

I know of people doing this over at HIDplanet. The only issue with some people is the extra heat the 55w put out will actually melt the projector housings. It doesn't happen to everyone just some people.

I have 55w bulb and ballast in fog light next to the headlight. The light output has greatly improved from stock. I have thought about changing the headlights aswell.

There was a thread comparison on...
35w, 55w and some other type.
55w has the potential to ruin the projector-bowls.

FYI, the stock HID's are some of the best ever offered and they are plenty bright. Try reaiming them to factory spec (3G Garage) and that should help if they are off spec. If you are having problems seeing it might be time for a trip to your eye doctor.

This.

From what I've seen the stock HID's are plenty bright indeed. I'm wondering what temperature 55w the OP is looking in to?

I'm using a 35w 6000k HID for my fogs and they're pretty bright. I'm satisfied with them. Looking into also changing my stock HID bulbs to 6000k to match.

I'm looking to do the exact same of what you did. How much of a difference is there between the fogs and the headlights? Would it be possible for you to post a pic? Wondering if I should order new headlight bulbs when I order the HID foglight kit, or if it isn't too badly off, then hold off until they burn out on their own. I also heard after 100 hrs, they reach their proper color, how long have you had your's running for?

Thanks.
