Inline resistor for switchback question!!

i have switchback in my headlights and i have 3ohm 50w resistors on the turn signal line. If i wanted to put 48 LED amber turn signals in the tail lights since i have cleared type s tails now, would i need to upgrade to a 6ohm 50w resistor or will the 3ohm 50w resistor still work in keeping the turn signals from blinking really fast. Thanks in advance guys.

You only need 1 resister per side.

but do i need a 6ohm resistor on each side to balance LEDs in both my headlight and tail light turn signals?

I have 2x6 ohms on each side but I have switchbacks in the turn signals and switchbacks in my sidemarkers. So I would say maybe? I would buy a set of 6 ohms just to be on the safe side.

I forget what LED's/resistor I had, but I could use LED's on front/rear with 1 resistor.

I would test it out before buying another part and splicing the wires.

yep you only need one 6 ohm resistor per side, and they work for both the headlights and tails
