I like the new Infiniti M35/45.
It's good that more cars have HFL. It gives us more choices to choose from.

I think all cars should have some BT system like HFL.... Infiniti's nav system is nothing compared to acura though.

Infiniti has a more luxury "name" to it... (IMO)... but i still think acuras blow away infiniti (i guess i am biased after i fought to get my infiniti repurchased under the lemon law)

shouldnt this be in the ramblings/auto section?

This is copied from another post I made, but is applicable here.

Becuase of the new limitation, we will see more of these threads remaining here, which may be good or not, depending on the thread. Of course, inappropriate threads will immediately be closed, or even deleted.

I just did a quick Google search on this puppy out of curiosity. Starting price for the base model $39,000 going up to ~47,000! By that reasoning, the TL is a bargin and if you wanted those features get a RL...

I think the Toyota Prius had it before Acura did. My GF just got one and the BT capability is insanely fun, I am quite jealous.

It's probably more targeted against the RL anyways. For 43k, you can get a nicely loaded M35, with 280/298 horse V6. Or for 52k, you can get a nicely loaded M45, with 345 horse V8. I think the latest test of the M45 concept yielded a 0-60 of 5.3 seconds or something like that, so it's definately faster than the RL. (and this was with the automatic IIRC) I think it's also going to be offered with a 6MT, I don't know if the RL offers a manual. I Don't know about the new M's handling. I don't imagine it to be much worse than the G35, since it shares the same platform.

The M45 out slalomed the TL and G35 sedan (how's that for a 4000 lbs sedan! ) We shouldn't be comparing the TL to the M45 as a fully loaded M costs about $20k more. Its even a class higher than the RL. I would consider the RL over the M35 but if I could afford the M45, I'd probably get that

Lexus vehicles equipped with Navigation now have BT as well. Its a trend that is going out to lots of the other manufacturers, I'm just glad I had it before most of them

Nope - more than that. There is a trojan that can cause your Bluetooth phone to dial a number of the hacker's choice, then forward the call to HIS phone, all without your knowledge. That way, he can place calls to foreign countries or to 900 sexline numbers or whatever, and charge the calls to your phone!

Most of these trojans are passed along via infected downloads like ringtones. Since there is no antivirus program for phones, the 'cure' appears to be to wipe your phone and completely reprogram it.

Welcome to Bluetooth.

Mike
