Incentive at dealership for orders

Generally does a salesperson's monthly commission or pay scheme reward orders? I'm planning to buy a NBP/Ebony 6mt/with Nav. They are on the lots but generally I think the ratio is on the order of about 1 out of 50 TL's or higher. I'm in no rush for the car so as long as the car comes in within a 4 months that would be fine. The odds of finding the car on the lot and working a deal is possible but could involve a good amount of hunting and then it may be at a dealership that just does not want to deal. I suspect selling a car off the lot is the dealer optimal goal but at the end of the month are salespeople hungry for orders also?

I don't know for sure but would suspect that a salesman doesn't get paid until the car is actually delivered. There would always be a chance the order could fall through. My 02.

A good deal at the end of the month depends on whether the salesman has met his quota, or if the dealership is trying to meet some kind of goal. Also, sometimes there are factory incentives for increased sales, or increased sales may let the dealer order more cars than his current allotment.

Most people say the end of the month is the best time for a good deal, but you have to find out exactly what day the dealer closes his books for the month, since not all of them do it on the last day of the month.

If you are not in a rush, take your time and watch how sales are going, then hit the dealer armed with enough knowledge to really do some bargaining.

Sometimes people here will post if they got a good deal at a particular dealer, and if it is close enough you can go check it out.
