As you all know I started the thread (2005 Auto or 6-Speed). I'm going to get the anthracite/ebony 6 speed for sure. Me and the dealer agreed on the price back on the 9th of July. They could not locate a 6-speed with Navi in 7 states. I wanted the silver in the first place but they won't get one till September. They told me they are getting the anthracite from the factory by the end of this month or worst case early August. Has anyone waited about a month to get the car they wanted? I have a 05 anthracite with Navi with some ugly 17'' chrome wheels they let me drive in place of my 02 RSX Type-S trade in. I don't know if they are BSing me around, but I will call them next week to see if any updates when they should receive the car, and when they do receive the car, they have 2 days of work to install my options (A-Spec body kit w/ spoiler, ultra shield, tint windows) I know Acura does not make a lot of 6-speeds for the TL, but waiting this long really annoys me.

 

I can't believe the complainers sometimes...If you want the car you'll wait...They gave you a freakin brand new car to drive around for the time you have to wait and yet your still complaining...sorry but please stop crying

 

Of course waiting is a part of life and yeah they provide me with a free car , but anything can happen you know. Besides you can't always trust the dealership until you demand what you want.. I just want to deal with the paper works and get on with life.

 

I had to wait but I was lucky as it wasn't as long as expected (12 weeks).

My dealer searched in adjacent states, but when he told me there was an extra $500 for transportation costs, I said no. I was willing to wait.

The following week, he tells me that his dealership had one order but the original buyer cancelled. I picked up my TL just 10 days after my refusal.

 

I am ashamed to tell how long I've been waiting.

My TL is scheduled to be assembled next week.

 

ah the impatient youth... they get a new car to drive in place of the old car and still complaining... That sounds like a deal to me they usually do not take the trade until they have your car waiting for you.

I'd say SHUT the F up and wait. Or be convinced you are getting BS'd and get another car from an entirely different car company..

 

To pass time and "get your mind off your car", why dn't you just go to different Acura dealers and test drive a bunch of TL's and RL's and hang around here and read about how great the car is, and how everyone is drving their TL's and you're not
