Just found this great site and wanted to say hi.

I picked up my new TL ('04 Silver/Quartz/5AT/non-Nav) last week and now have just under 600 miles. I am very happy with the car so far and I haven't experienced any of the vibration/tire/alignment/rattle issues yet. (***knocks on wood***).

Is the tire vibration issue something that would be noticed immediately, or would I need to drive more miles? I've already been up at 80mph on the mass turnpike several times and the car is very smooth and quiet.

 

Congrats on your choice. Don't waste your time looking for problems, if you have one you will know it and then get it fixed. I am still happy without any problems after 2 months and I hope it continues that way.

 

In my opinion, you would have noticed the vibration from day one, especially with the cold nights and days you have on the east coast. My guess is that you are in the clear; however, if something would arise and you're not happy with the EL42's, I would call and start a file at ACS.

Congrats Guitarob! WElcome! Enjoy your TL and forget about probelms. As said earlier, if you have one, you'll notice it. Take it to the dealer and tehy'll fix it.

 

Congrats.. My vibration didn't show up for a couple of weeks . It then got worse.

 

Hey... that is exactly my car... No tire problems that I've notice that is really bothersome. I already have 6000 miles and I bought the car during Thanksgiving. The only minor problem that I have the dealer fix was my check engine light flashes when I rev the car around 4000+...

Yeah, welcome to the club - Ive got over 10 000 on mine and not a single issue and it has no problem in snow either - other than looking dirty too much of the time
